This year at the Thumb Region of Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, 2432 individuals and 71 portfolios were submitted. About 22% of the works entered has received a Gold Key, Silver Key, and a Honorable mention. A total of 572 awards were bestowed on 335 winning students and 61 winning teachers that represent Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, St. Clair, and Sanilac counties. Fraser artists earned a gold key portfolio, an honorable mention portfolio as as 7 gold keys, 14 silver keys, and 23 honorable mentions.
