Motivation For You
February 13, 2018
Hey there, I take it you were expecting me to talk about a specific someone and tell you all the juicy details about my feelings towards them. Well I’ll tell you what, that’s not happening today. Instead, I’m going to talk about how, for once in my life, I’m happy. And I want to share my secret with you all.
But you’re probably wondering why am I writing this? Why is this important and how does it hold any value to you? Because for the longest time, I’ve always depended on other people to make me happy. Which, in case you didn’t know, is not the best thing to do. Whether it be a friend or significant other, they’re people and they make mistakes. They aren’t going to make you happy all the time. And I’ve notice from friends of mine and class colleagues that they tend to do the same thing I did.
Luckily, there is a way to overcome your sadness and breakout from the rut that is most commonly known as heartbreak. It’s my biggest secret on how to be content with your life and the most common piece of advice I give to all of my friends….
Focus. On. You.
That’s it! Focus on what you need to do to be a successful person and break away from the negativity that has been a part of your life for so long. Whether that means to focus on your school work, mental health, physical health, whatever it may be. Better yourself and learn to love yourself before you put all of your energy and focus on others. You are the only one that matters in your situation. Anyone that isn’t for you in this life shouldn’t be with you. So, if you need to block a few people in order to do so, DO IT. Cleanse your life from the toxic world that you live in by removing the people that make it toxic. I know it may be hard, but it is what’s best for you. This is the point of your life where you should take the opportunity to be selfish and worry about yourself. Ultimately, those who you are trying to avoid should be able to understand. Take this advice into consideration and I assure you, you will have a happier life and great things will come of it; I promise.
