All in 1’s
October 27, 2017
On Wednesday October 11, 2017, Fraser High School added yet another award to their trophy case. Fraser’s very own Marching Band had another successful win for the seventeenth year in a row at the MSBOA Marching Festival. MSBOA is a weeklong event across the state of Michigan where 37 bands from District 16 participated. This means over 4,400 band students took the field in competition. For the 12th year in a row, the Ramblers are the largest marching band in District 16.
How it works is that three judges rank each band in categories of music, marching, and showmanship. Ratings range from First Division, a superior rating, to a Fifth Division. Our Marching Ramblers earned first division ratings with straight 1’s in the categories of Music, Marching, and General Effect / Showmanship, for a final overall rating of first division.
Congratulations Ramblers!
