Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Hits Theaters on May 5th

In 2014, comic book fans were treated with the most diverse Marvel Cinematic Universe film yet, Guardians of the Galaxy. Now almost three years later, fans will be excited to hear that the next installment, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, will be hitting theaters on May 5, 2017. The sequel is set two months after the events of the first film. Peter Quill and his band of remarkable guardians are looking for more trouble in the galaxy. They have captured the attention of the Sovereign people, who plan to eliminate the guardians. In addition to saving the galaxy again, Peter gains more knowledge about the father he’s never met. Kurt Russell, who portrays his father, Ego, decides to pay Peter a visit.
In the newest trailer, it is revealed that the Guardians universe is getting bigger by adding new faces such as Mantis and Ayesha. The film also will be showing the return of Nebula, Yondu, Kraglin and many other characters. Fans and moviegoers alike are very excited for the next movie Marvel has to offer as well as a sensational soundtrack. The teaser trailer alone received over 80 million views in just 24 hours, making it Marvel’s biggest trailer debut so far.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
