Utica upsets Fraser JV

The Jv football squad was hoping to bounce back after a embarrassing loss to Henry Ford II during homecoming week but once again  they let another game slip through their fingertips. The Ramblers would strike early with a two yard touchdown run by Nick Benson but the extra point attempt by Aron Geml was no good and Ramblers led 6-0.

The Jv squad would would find the end zone again with fifty five yard interception return by Anthony Cooper but the offense would fail to pick up the two points and Ramblers would lead 12-0 going into the half time break.

The Ramblers would then begin to crumble in the second half surrendering two touchdowns in a row and the Chieftans would lead 14-12 going into the 4th quarter. Then with Jv teams backs up against the wall on the one yard line, quarterback Nick Benson punch in a 99 yard touchdown yard run to put the Junior Varsity Ramblers up 18-14 with another failed two point conversion.

Then on the next kickoff Utica would return the kickoff for the touchdown and would take the lead 20-18 and then would score one last time to defeat the JV squad by a final score of 27-18. Making the JV teams record fall again to 2-5 and Utica would grab their first win of the year making thinner record 1-8. The JV squads final game of the season will be at home against the Bulldogs of Romeo on Thursday October 20th. Kickoff is set at around 6:30.
