Fitz And The Tantrums’ Come Get Your Love Fall Tour Preview
August 20, 2016
This six piece ensemble of accomplished musicians, known as Fitz and The Tantrums, has made their mark in the music industry. Not only do they use the classic “rock band” instruments, they also add some flavor with a saxophone, a flute, and different kinds of percussion. Michael Fitzpatrick, the man who started it all, is the lead vocalist. The band also consists of Noelle Scaggs (vocals, percussion), James King (saxophone, flute), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumma (keyboard), and John Wicks (drums, percussion). They aren’t something you see every day.
The band has gotten quite a bit of success in the pop culture universe. They’ve basically created their own sound. Their hit songs include “Out of My League,” “The Walker” (from their second album, More Than Just a Dream), and “HandClap” (from their newest album, Fitz and The Tantrums). Fitz and The Tantrums are unlike any other artist that you hear on the radio today. The diversity that they bring is stunning. They’re different, determined, and absolutely satisfying. This is a band that needs to be experienced live and up close.
The Tantrums kicked off their summer tour this month and are coming to Detroit on November 19th. Don’t forget to pick up your tickets here or at The Fillmore’s box office.
