image001 The 3rd week of October was a monumental milestone for Marvel Studios and fans worldwide, with the release of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe Phase Three plans. With ten unexplainably successful movies already under their belt, Phase Three consists of 11 new films that feature many of the well-known heroes and even some new fan favorites from the comics.

The first movie to premiere will be the anxiously awaited Avengers: Age of Ultron. Set to be released on May 1st of 2015, this epic follow-up to The Avengers will revolve around the robotic super villain Ultron. He is especially horrific because unlike Loki (The Avenger’s first antagonist), and most other villains who are bent on world domination, Ultron has a different goal in mind: To completely extinct the human race.

The first trailer has now been released earning massive positive feedback from the fans. It features the reputable Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) along with a few new faces such as Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and Ultron himself (James Spader). Written and directed by Joss Whedon and with all of this incredible talent, Avengers: Age of Ultron is sure to become another record-breaking success by Marvel.

The next movie set to be released is Marvel’s first cinematic installment of the monumental comic book hero Ant-Man. Armed with the fantastic ability to shrink down to minuscule proportions while having immense strength, con-man Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) must learn to embrace his inner hero in order to pull off a heist that will save the world. Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man will premiere in the US on July 17th of 2015.

Marvel Studio’s President, Kevin Feige, also revealed the next films to premiere all the way through 2019 starting with Captain America: Civil War, and Doctor Strange in 2016. 2017 will be graced with the presence of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther. While 2018 will unveil Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, Captain Marvel, and Inhumans. Finally 2019 will conclude Phase Three with Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.

The ten Marvel films that have already been released opened #1 domestically, and collectively grossed at over 7.1 billion globally. And with Marvel’s The Avengers currently holding the record for the third biggest film of all time worldwide, Marvel Studio’s success is certain to continue growing far into the future.
