The Fraser High School Symphony band performed at the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association District 16 Band Festival at Sterling Heights Stevenson High School and had a wonderful performance.

The band was adjudicated in performance by three judges and competing in 5 musical categories of Tone, Intonation, Rhythm, Technique, and Interpretation, for a total of 15 grades. Grading goes through A- e are assigned to each of the five categories and using 4- point calculation method. The overall ratings are assigned by each judge from First Division (Superior) to Fifth Division.

Thursday, March 6th the 40 member Symphony Band competed in Class A and received straight First Division ratings in Performance and First Division rating in Slight Reading, earning overall “Superior” First Division rating.

Friday, March 7th, Varsity band (9th grade) will perform at 5:40 pm and the Concert band will perform at 7:35pm.
